Diana deVries, LPC

I am an independent practitioner and founder of Crosswinds. I hold a Bachelors degree from Concordia University in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s degree from Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience and work with issues of depression and anxiety, premarital and marital counseling, parenting, PTSD, domestic violence recovery, psychological abuse, divorce, remarriage, co-parenting, reconciliation facilitation, grief and trauma. I work with individuals aged 14 and up, couples and families. I am currently licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Oklahoma.
I hold to a collaborative, non-directive, strengths-based model of counseling. Carl Rogers known as the Father of Counseling stated that human beings have an inherent tendency toward growth and development. I see my role as using my training to help you gain perspective and find solutions where you feel stuck and unable to achieve your goals. I utilize personalized, creative therapy approaches tailored to each client including solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral and emotionally focused/attachment based therapies. I offer Christian, Bible-based counseling. I was certified as a biblical counselor in 2020 and feel confident in my abaility to use the Bible in addition to research in psycology to best address the needs of my clients.
I am a mother and grandmother and homeschooled my children and some of my step children for almost 30 years. I have held various positions of leadership in homeschool organizations, and have extensive experience in leading groups, Bible studies, enrichment and parenting classes. I have been happily married for 9 years, and together we have a blended family of 11 amazing kids, and 9 beautiful grandchildren! In our free time my husband and I enjoy spending time with our families, hiking, biking, water sports and racquetball.
